Our Experience In One Of The New Hotel Rooms At The Hard Rock Tampa

Outside our guestroom windows we could see the magnificent new pools, and the highwire several stories up, that the Nik Wallenda and his mother would cross that afternoon.

Earlier this month the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa held a Grand Opening Celebration at their new 14-story hotel tower. The $700 million project included 562 new guestrooms and suites, three ultra-lavish pools and extensive gaming space. had a tour of this property in July when it was still an active construction site. Now, a mere three months later, the property is ready for visitors both locally and from around the world.

We were invited to attend the Grand Celebration festivities and in the spirit of full disclosure, the hotel hosted our stay in one of the new guestrooms. From the minute we drove up to the valet until it was time to leave (sadly), we experienced an upbeat and joyful level of service. We were whisked from our car to the front desk to our room on the 12th floor in a matter of minutes. Our floor was named after, singer Marilyn Manson. Other floors are named after other rock icons.

The view from the massive floor to ceiling windows was dazzling. Directly to the right was a highwire cable that The “King of the High Wire,” Nik Wallenda, a seventh-generation member of the Great Wallendas, and his mother, Delilah would be walking across together the following day. (more about that later)

The room was was bright, spacious and beautifully furnished. Each room has a refrigerator and its very own beverage center with a Keurig coffee maker.  What was especially wonderful was the extra-large bathroom with top of the line amenities and one of the best showers I have ever used.
